Ruth's ICS fundraising page

ICS Entrepreneur with Challenges Worldwide · 31 December 2018 ·
I am lucky enough to have been selected to take part in the ICS (International Citizen Service) programme, meaning I will be going to Rwanda in January to volunteer for 10 weeks with Challenges Worldwide! I will be working to develop small enterprises to increase employment and prosperity, and I'm so excited.
I have been set a fundraising target of £800, which goes directly to ICS, so that the programme and their partner organisations can continue their brilliant work. So, in a bid to earn your donations, I will be running a half marathon on Saturday 16th December. I have gone from 4 runs a year to 4 a week which is a shock to the system!
The ICS programme allows young people from the UK the opportunity to volunteer abroad without having to pay thousands of pounds for it- opening up the development sector to all, rather than being limited to the rich. So as well as making a real impact on poor communities around the world, ICS gives important opportunities to young people in the UK.
