I would walk 500 miles... · 30 June 2015

SHIVA Charity's main objective in Nepal is to promote education, by building and maintaining schools, installing clean drinking water and providing teacher training. The charity was founded in 1995 and has worked hard to improve the quality of education for the children of Nepal..

Story

Santander bank will be DOUBLING whatever you donate and any donation over £10 could win you a Tanglewood guitar worth £200!

As part of my '100 Things' list, in which I have set myself some challenges to achieve within my lifetime, walking 500 miles was an idea that came to me that at first sounded highly unlikely and extremely challenging. I thought it would probably be one of the last things I would actually attempt but with The Universe being the way it is it confronted me with the opportunity to get it done sooner. From July 1st I set off to San Sebastian and then along the north coast of Spain

I would like to be able to help those affected in rural areas of Nepal to recover in some capacity from the devastation caused by the earthquake. Also in conjunction with The Charlie Derrick Music Foundation (http://www.cdmusicfoundation.org.uk) we will be building a music department in Banepa which will be accessible to many of the schools in the area supported by SHIVA charity (http://www.shivacharity.com).

All money raised will go direct to those in need and none will be spent on my own travel expenses. I have set a preliminary goal of £2000 but hopefully I can raise much more with your help.

If you would like to read about my '100 things' list you can find it in this blog post (http://www.ryaninglis.com/my-life-as-a-self-managed-musician-13-ryan-inglis)

Thankyou
