On February 9th this year, a good friend of mine lost his dad to cancer, which as we all know is a horrible disease that can affect anyone at any time. It got me thinking that i wanted to do something to help, and there is no better way to do so than raising money for a charity that directly helps people suffering from cancer and their loved ones.

On May 7th i will be running a half marathon to raise money for the Shooting Star Cancer Support at Wrexham Maelor hospital. This is a charity who’s role is to fund pieces of equipment that are difficult for the NHS to provide, and which allow optimisation of the journey for the patient through their cancer diagnosis or their treatment.

This is an outstanding charity that needs and deserves every penny they can get. So lets dig deep and raise as much money as possible in memory of a good man!!!!
