Chris is a blind veteran who lost his sight in 2020. He is running the Great South Run in October 2023 with his son Ryan as a guide runner. Chris is raising money for Blind Veterans UK, a charity that provides support to blind and visually impaired veterans, and gives sight impaired veterans opportunities to experience things that they never thought they would again.

Chris served in The British Army from 1986 until 1995 with the RAOC, and after losing his sight in 2020, Chris was put in contact with Blind Veteran’s UK who have helped him adjust to his sight loss. Both Chris and Ryan are grateful for the support that Chris has received from the charity, and want to give back by raising money for them.

Chris is a passionate advocate for Blind Veterans. He believes that everyone deserves to live a full and independent life, regardless of their sight loss.
