In April 2023 I will be running the London Marathon in support of Amref Health Africa UK.

I have had the pleasure to be closely involved in an Amref Health Africa supporters group at Wolfson College, Oxford for the past 4 years. From the very beginning, I have been deeply impressed by Amref's ethos and dedication to ensuring equitable access to healthcare across Africa, and have found myself warmly welcomed into the Amref family by the UK team.

Amref Health Africa is Africa's leading health NGO. Headquartered in Nairobi and African-led, Amref partners with communities in 35 countries to sustainably strengthen health systems and improve access to healthcare, with a particular focus on the health and rights of women and girls.

I'm running the London Marathon to challenge myself to reach what once felt an unattainable goal, to increase my capacity to support Amref in as many ways as possible, but most importantly to continue to support Amref's vital efforts to deliver equitable healthcare access to communities across sub-Saharan Africa.
