Story
Thank you for taking the time to look at our page. James and I have decided to take on this challenge to help raise funds for this fantastic charity. Dementia is a disease that effects so many people today in the UK. The chances are you will either be effected by this horrible, cruel disease yourself or it will effect someone close to you. Both James and I have seen the impact of the disease and we wanted to do a little something to try and help.
We discussed a number of potential challenges we could do but we wanted to set ourselves a challenge that would push us to our limits. In the end we decided to run 10k a day for every day in January (yes, including New Year's day). In total we will be completing thirty one 10k runs each. With work and family life commitments just fitting on 10k run in is hard enough. To do this every day for a month we feel it will push us to the max and hopefully encourage you all to donate whatever you can. This is not going to be easy or fun and we will post our progress on a daily basis. I'm sure a number of you will enjoy seeing us struggle especially with the delightful weather we normally experience in January (please no snow!). We are determined to complete this challenge even if we have to crawl some of the runs. This is a great charity and we hope we can raise as much money as possible.
We would be truly grateful for any donations you could make. We know that more now than ever it's difficult times we face but anything you give will be truly appreciated. Of course, if anyone wants to join us on any of the runs they will be welcomed as we will need all the encouragement and support we can get!!!!!!!!!!
