Virgin London Marathon 2016 · 24 April 2016 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

I ran the Paris Marathon in 2011 (when I was fit) and vowed to never to do a marathon again... This was when Brett was alive.

When Brett passed away I missed his funeral as I was in Australia at the time. I was gutted because he was a bit of a hero to me.

I used to always moan on Facebook about the trivial things in life, following up with a "fml" on the end. Brett, despite going through leukaemia, always messaged me telling me to "keep my chin up". That's the sort of lad he was.

I never knew Ross Emslie, but I know his Dad, who is an all round top bloke. I know his entire family, friends and lots of other people around the Saracens Rugby Club work endlessly to support Teenage Cancer Trust for the work they did for Ross.

Thinking about this I thought that I would do my bit. I weigh more than I did in 2011, I have many more injuries, and I've drank many more beers - but I can't think of any better reason to get into shape.

By supporting me with even £1, you are helping me help others make make a huge difference to families - real families that you may know.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to people beeping their cars shouting "Run Fatboy Run" at me when I'm out training!
