Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am completing the Manchester 10k run in memory of my Dad Ray Cretney who passed away in January 2013 after a long battle with kidney cancer. Due to my Dad having a Kidney shadow many years before the cancer this resulted in my Dad having his kidney removed and being left with one. After being diagnosed with kidney cancer my Dad then had to undergo dialysis 3 times a week to help filter his blood due to only having the one kidney. The help and support from the dialysis ward at the Manchester Royal Infirmary was outstanding. Nurses, doctors and other staff at this hospital always went above and beyond to ensure my Dad was receiving the best care possible right up until his last breath.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and helping me reach my target of £500
