Autism Awareness week is 29th March - 4th April 2021, During this week I aim to contribute as many steps as I can towards the 'Million Steps Challenge'. I will be doing this in aid of Autism NI and all of the families of Northern Ireland and beyond to not only raise awareness but acceptance and inclusion. I hope to achieve this by completing numerous walks and hikes while showcasing my Autism NI T-Shirt, this will hopefully put Autism into people's minds and make them think a little more about it. Putting Autism into people's minds isn't always enough, as a society we need to learn more about Autism, what it is, how we can help and be more accepting and willing to learn to promote true acceptance and inclusion. I encourage everyone who visits this page to check out Autism NI's website and read something about Autism and learn something new to help us on our journey for true awareness and acceptance. 

I really want to raise some money for Autism NI as they do amazing work to support families and autistic individuals. Their service has been impacted due to the pandemic like lots of other services. They provide training, 1:1 support, helplines and have lots of amazing resources which I use everyday to support the people I work with. 

I have been working with autistic individuals now for around 10 years and really specialising in the area for the last 4 years. I have a keen interest in Early Intervention to ensure our children receive the best start in life. I also have a passion for helping people to understand what Autism is and how we can truly help the Autism Community.
