Our incredible #teamcardio runners will be taking to the streets of London to participate in the spectacular Virgin London Marathon 2019 to raise vital funds for Cardiomyopathy UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon on behalf of Cardiomyopathy Uk which has been a great support to us and more importantly our daughter Charley.

Charley was born with congenital heart defects and survived against all the odds. She now 21 and lives with the daily struggle of cardiomyopathy - this is a condition that affects the muscle of the heart for which there is no cure - it has and will continue to get worse and her daily struggle with "living a normal life "  will get harder. The only option for Charley will be a heart transplant.

But .... she is a fighter , she loves life and tries to live it to full ... she loves everything a normal 21year old likes ..... make up, hair, socialising with friends, rubbish telly ... !!!

Cardiomyopathy is a hidden disease for which in most cases there is no support. The charity I am running for supports sufferers and their families. The helpline has been invaluable for us in helping Charley through the very tough times - she is also on the young peoples panel that aims to raise awareness for the younger ones who are diagnosed.
