Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

Back in June 2000 at the age of 34, my mum suffered a Brain Haemorrhage and Stroke out of the blue.

Without the help, care and support of the wonderful people at The Walton Centre she might not be with us today.

The Walton Centre in Liverpool is a specialist neuroscience hospital treating over 100,000 patients a year with conditions including head and spinal trauma injuries; tumours of the nervous system; epilepsy; multiple sclerosis and motorneurone disease.

The Charity helps support excellence in neuroscience by funding a variety of projects at the hospital which help improve patient care and services.  These include innovative equipment; research; as well as improved facilities for our patients and families.  It also supports staff with enhanced training opportunities to ensure they remain at the centre of clinical and research developments.

My Mum turns 50 this year and as well as celebrating I want to mark the occasion with this trip.

Thank you for taking the time to read and donate.

This money will go to help normal people like my mum who have to start again, it really will give someone a second chance at living.
