Story
Aslamalakum Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Saahirah and I am helping to fundraise for Sudan as part of Penny Appeal I will be taking part in a sponsored walk to help raise money for Sudan
If you aren't already aware of what is happening to our brothers and sisters in Sudan then more must be done to create awareness
In 3 days the following has happened:
- 113 people have been killed
- 723 people have been injured
- 650 people have arrested
- 48 women have been raped
- 6 men have been raped
- 1000s have gone missing
And the numbers are only rising
- They're shooting people's homes
- Burning bodies
- Tormenting people
- Urinating on people
The list is truly endless
There is a massacre going on in Sudan these are our brothers and sisters we may not be related by blood but we are one nation so we must help each other, we must support them, we must listen to their voices especially when they are being silenced
If you are unable to donate you can help by keeping our brothers and sisters in your duas and you can help create awareness by spreading the information about what is happening and keep these hashtags trending
#iamthesudanrevolution
#istandwithsudan
#sudanmassacare
You can also help by changing your profile pictures to blue you might be wondering that it's not really helping but if we all do it then it will spark a conversation people will begin talking about Sudan the media will recognise it and they will have to report it because it's becoming a popular topic then when the media gets involved it will push leaders to act and do something because the public are demanding justice and we are demanding that the Sudanese people are helped
Remember we should always do our best to help in crisis like this irrespective of someone's ethnicity, religion or race
