Saba and Asma's page

Wilmslow Festive 10k · 26 November 2017 ·
My name is Saba, I am running the Wilmslow 10K on 26.11.2017 with my dear friend Asma, fundraising for the Rohingya appeal.
None of us are strangers to experiencing or witnessing hardship, and I truly pray that God eases every hardship of each person reading this page, and all those you love. I hate to see anyone suffer, and this is why I am fundraising for the Rohingya appeal.
More than 600,000 Rohingya people have fled Myanmar due to persecution, having lost their homes, safety, and loved ones. People are living in tents and relying on food aid. There are children who have been separated from parents, and at risk of becoming victims of child trafficking. My heart breaks to see this dire situation, and it is tempting to feel helplessness, when we're so far away, and the scale of the problem is so big.
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, taught us to be kind and generous, and to love for our brothers what we love for our own selves. So how can we show the Rohingya people that they are loved, cared for, and not forgotten?
Let's start with the basics; amenities like food and shelter are needed. I need your help to raise as much as we can, to help our Rohingya brothers, sisters and children. I'm aiming really high. With your help, and if God wills, I want us to raise £10,000. It is possible, but I need your help in donating, spreading the word, and encouraging others to donate.
Every penny counts, and will help people who are suffering. See below for details about the charity. I'd best get my running shoes on!
