Story

Hey guys – as you may know I work for an international development charity and manage programs in the Pacific. Over the weekend one of the countries I work in, Vanuatu was devastated by a category 5 cyclone; the worst in its history.

As word trickles in the sheer scale of devastation has started to be realised. There are reports that 90% of the nation’s 266,000 population has been affected, with the vast majority of those losing their homes.

So where do you guys come in? I am about to embark on a dry month (16th March-13th April) to raise funds for the disaster response within the Northern islands of Vanuatu through the implementing partner that I work with every day. This is definitely personal for me due to the relationships I have within the country and the knowledge of the already burgeoning level of poverty that has been exacerbated by this tragedy. The people of Vanuatu are in desperate need of funds to rebuild.

If you are interesting in donating to this cause, want more info or just love the idea of watching me suffer through a dry month please let me know.

Thanks

Sabene
