Al Medina 313 is raising money to construct a water well for refugee camps in Northern Syria. The well will benefit approximately 2000-3000 people. This will mean that they have access to clean water without relying on weekly water tankers.

Story

Syrians are facing rising inflation as a result of the declining value of the Syrian pound, widespread unemployment and increasingly common fuel shortages. Many will be more concerned about hunger than covid for them the priority is safety, and feeding their families. The lives of most Syrians now are filled with hardship, even access to clean water comes with a price. In Northern Syria, there are multiple refugee camps which contain around 400-500 displaced families (which is around 2000 people including children, elderly and sick) who rely heavily on charities to donate towards water tankers, which then visit the camps on a weekly basis. During this visit familes are expected to collect water which they will be able to ration for the week, the water is then used for food, cooking, cleaning etc. Al Medina 313 has been blessed with a fantastic opportunity to bring a change to all of these families.
