Story
This March I will have the privilege of travelling with IMANA to Jordan on their Serve Syria Medical Mission.
After 11 years of war, the Syrian refugee crisis remains the world’s largest refugee and displacement crisis of our time. Jordan’s latest census counted 1.3 million Syrian refugees. Around 80 percent of Jordan’s Syrian refugees fall below the poverty line and without access to healthcare facilities.
We hope to provide the refugee population much needed healthcare. Most of them are elderly, women and children. Ours will be the 19th Serve Syria medical mission with IMANA. Our team will see between 1200-1500 patients during our time there.
The physicians cover the costs of our travel but we look to our friends, family and colleagues to help with the cost of medication and supplies. Even the smallest of donation has an impact. Thank you for your generosity.
