Story

In memory of Phil  Brockabilly from Helen and Jay Kenneally.

In March 2020 our brother -in-law, father to Bonita and Sabrina and VincentPapa to Bo and Scott’s children and loving husband to Trina was suddenly taken from us far too early after a period of fighting Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was only diagnosed in November 2019.

The king touched the hearts of so many and we are wanting to complete this challenge to raise funds for a local charity that is very dear to Phil’s family and friends and helped Phil throughout his battle.

This half marathon is for you  Bonita and family, Sabrina and Sam, Vincent and Trina – to say how incredibly proud we are of you all. Not only have you lost the champions of all dads / husband but through a pandemic on top of it all.

You have managed this so gracefully, giving to others throughout and constantly showing great senses of humour and strength throughout – the boss will be so proud.

We aim to raise funds to help others locally that have a similar story and your choice of charity ChemoHero is a perfect cause for this event.

In May 2021 we endeavour to complete a half marathon in memory of your dear father / husband / papa in Devon or in Leeds (dependant on tier restrictions) to raise as much money as possible to support this incredible local charity so dear to your hearts.

 Let the training commence.
