Im taking part in this event in memory of 2 people. my auntie pat who was such a strong lady but sadly lost her fight while she was sleeping.
But most recently somebody else that i was very close with and special to me sadly lost her fight this lady was my dads wife my step mum clare, but we was closer than that she was there with me when my eldest son was born she even cut his cord. then she was there the day i married my husband. she also held on just long enough to meet her youngest grandson my youngest son.
My son was 4 weeks old to the day when she passed away he will never know how special she was but i will always tell him about his nanny in the sky.
Clare had fought cancer a number of times before, she truely was a fighter even in her last days she kept us all on our toes.
Clare was in rowcroft hospice in her final days and the staff there were truely amazing. All of our family when i say all there was about 15 of us all camped out at the hospice so we could be with her until the end, the staff instead of being fustrated with how many of us where there or asking us to leave at certain times were bringing food drinks offering help where needed and kept clare comfortable.
We will never forget the kindness and compassion they showed im sure many others will feel the same.
ITS TIME TO GIVE BACK SO PLEASE PLEASE SPONSER ME AND LETS HELP KEEP THESE PLACES RUNNING BECAUSE THEY REALLY DO MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN SUCH HEART WRENCHING TIMES THANK YOU XXXXX
