Firstly, a huge thank you to those that have taken the time to acknowledge my Children of War fundraising page. 

I, alongside Muslim Hands, will be raising funds to help the Children of War rebuild their lives. On the 27th of Ramadhan, (09/May/2021) I and fellow participants from across the nation will embark on a 5k walk to achieve our challenge in support of this worthy cause. 

The funds raised will provide children and families with food, water and other necessities throughout the holy month of Ramadhan. This will support children affected in the following countries: Syria, Yemen, Kashmir, Rohingya and Afghanistan. 

As many of us witness daily, the distressing scenes and stories of these poverty stricken children, it often leaves us feeling heartbroken. So rather than just sitting back and feeling helpless, I decided to help raise funds to make whatever little difference I could. Being a mother myself, this is very dear to my heart and a cause of great importance. 

Having three young children, with the youngest being just a baby, I often find that my hands are tied, as motherhood demands pretty much most of my time. However, I didn’t want this to prevent me in helping others and so when this opportunity arose, it was perfect. I could raise funds by doing a walking challenge, which was more achievable with being a full time mummy as my children, including baby could all take part with me. 

Children are the greatest of all gifts and I, personally cannot thank the Almighty enough for the joy and blessings they bring. Therefore this is one of my many ways in expressing my immense gratitude towards the Almighty for my most precious gifts. 

This is my first fundraising challenge with Muslim Hands and I would greatly appreciate your support by sharing my page and donating as little or as much as you can. We will shortly be entering the holy month of Ramadhan where we are reminded of poverty and helping the less fortunate. Let your good deeds weigh heavy on the scales and contribute in any way you can. I hope this inspires you in helping others.
