Story

Assalaamu Alaykum (May peace and blessings be upon you).

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

'Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.'

This year I'll be taking part in the London Marathon with the aim of crossing the finish line in one piece! Please support me in my challenge with whatever you can.

With 80% of Gaza below the poverty line, I'm hoping to raise as much as I can for those affected by the conflict and siege. Donations will go towards providing basic necessities such as shelter, food and medicine to those in dire need.

Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) is a UK based charity with a 100% donation policy. They have projects in parts of the world affected by poverty, war and natural disasters. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy, generosity and selflessness, the trust aims to alleviate poverty and suffering across the world.
