Story

Thanks for taking up the time to visit my page.

On Saturday 23rd May 2015, the YCA has organised a mount Snowdon challenge for lads and dads to raise much needed funds in aid of helping civilians caught up in Yemen's worsening conflict.

I will be trekking up Wales’s highest mountain, to help orphans, children and families who have been affected by the ongoing war in Aden, Yemen.

I urge you to help me to raise money for this immediate cause as:

·         Countless homes have been reduced to rubble

·         Infrastructure and communication lines are damaged

·         Hospitals are struggling to cope with the number of injured civilians

·         Water and electricity supplies have been cut off.

·         Tens of thousands of people have fled their homes, and much higher levels of displacement are anticipated.

Before this latest escalation in the conflict, more than 10 million Yemenis - almost half the population - were already going hungry every day. It is for this very reason that I ask you to help me ease the suffering of families in Aden. I urge donors to act now to support the people of Yemen at this time of greatest need.
