Feed Yemen Project

Feed Yemen · 7 May 2019
April 2019, I launched my very first solo photographic exhibition in Belfast. My primary drive was to support ISRA-UK, a charity that focuses on providing aid to impoverished and suffering communities across the developing world. All proceeds from my exhibition went to the FEED YEMEN PROJECT 2019 campaign.
For nearly 5 years now, we have witnessed the situation in Yemen deteriorate. We can no longer maintain our stance as spectators while innocent children perish in the pursuit of power and greed. Since March 2015 deadly clashes and airstrikes in Yemen have forced over 3.1 million people to flee their homes, while killing thousands.
The Yemeni people have struggled for almost a decade with health problems, the country is hit by the worst cholera outbreak of our time. With strain already, the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has shattered Yemen’s heath care system, leaving our fellow humans with limited options.
The humanitarian situation continues with fuel shortages, rising food prices and a severe lack of basic services making daily survival a painful struggle. This calamity has engulfed the lives of so many people and will only continue if we do not act.
Yemen is slowly but surly dying, and the time to act is now.
