The East Belleville Y has partnered with District 118 schools in Belleville to provide a customized Safety Around Water program. With this partnership, the Y will be teaching every 3rd grader in the district basic water skills, introducing them to basic concepts of swim lessons, and other life saving techniques, even to help save others!

Over 115 students were enrolled for our Fall 2021 session and we currently have around 240 students for the Spring 2022 session. 

If we were to charge the non-member rate for these imperative lessons, at $44 per child, it would come out to be about $15,000 for the entire 2021-2022 school year. 

With your support to our YMCA, we can continue to not only serve our Belleville School District 118 but we could expand our program to every 3rd grader in the East Belleville service area!
