Saffron's abstain, in memory of Jane

For those that know me, will know how much my mother meant to me, and that her passing was the biggest heartache for our family.
October 26th marks 4 years that we are without mam, and I want to celebrate her life by raising awareness of muscular dystrophy, in the hope that we can raise money to help other families that so desperately rely on support from this important charity.
Mam was diagnosed with limb girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD) when she was just 11 years old and although LGMD was always trying to hold her back, she went on to achieve amazing things, and be known for her kindness, compassion and that famous smile.
It is a sad reality that mam lost her life too young at just 48. This disease is incurable, terminal, and grows stronger and stronger as time goes on, making life that much harder each passing year.
There is a fabulous community on social media for friends and family affected by LGMD and I am bitterly reminded that although the world has lost Jane, it has not lost muscular dystrophy, which means lots of people are still fighting for a good quality of life, not knowing what the future brings.
Muscular dystrophy UK are leading the drive to get faster access to emerging treatment for families in the UK as well as ensuring everyone has the specialist NHS care and support they need.
I will therefore be going sober for the WHOLE MONTH and will be posting my link all over social media all month to remind you lot of how much I need a wine after a long day of work 😂
