Story

Hi! My name is Saffy Sprocket and I'm a YouTuber from the UK. On the 16th of October 2022, I'll be undertaking my biggest challenge yet! I'll ride across over the Sea and beyond to support regional charity, the North West Air Ambulance!

What is Sprocket's ride to save lives about?
'Ride of a life-line' is a 16-day trip in which I'll race 360 degrees around Europe (mimicking the shape of spinning helicopter blades). I'll be documenting every day of my travels and sharing the challenge on my channel throughout the upcoming months to help raise money and awareness for the NWAA.

Every fundraising video shared from the trip will feature a personal message from the very talented NWAA crew educating us all on the amazing work they do day in and day out.

Why am I doing this?
From the blissful days travelling on the Isle of Skye to wet winter breakdowns, the biking community has been by my side supporting me with encouragement and advice from day one. Support is a two-way street and I'm ready to ride. I don't have many skills in life, but what I do have is a public voice, and the ability to tell a good story. That's why I decided to utilise the skills that I do have in a way that can help save lives on the road. That's why I've made it my mission, to fund a mission!

Why NWAA?
The North West Air Ambulance has a huge impact on both bikers and residents of the North West Region. Their specialist team works tirelessly 365 days to provide lifesaving, pre-hospital care. To date, they've currently attended 1,690 missions this year with the most common missions being Road Traffic Collisions.

Whilst everyone may be aware of the amazing work that the Air Ambulance service does, very few people are aware the service does not receive public funding. It's completely reliant upon the generosity of individuals like you and me.

How can I view the videos?
There will be a minimum of 8 videos following the trip documenting my race around Europe. Each video will be published on a weekly basis (as editing abilities permit)  on YouTube. Every fundraising video shared from the trip will feature a personal message from the very talented NWAA crew educating us all on the amazing work they do day in and day out.
