Story
Hi I'm Kirsty and I want to raise money for Mind, as I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. I try to manage my anxiety by surrounding myself in nature, mindfulness, and by spending time with my gorgeous dog, Robyn.
I also know friends and family who have previously or currently suffer from mental health problems. Did you know, that 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England.
Statistics taken from Mind show in any given week, 8 in 100 people will experience anxiety and depression.
Based on the above statistics I plan to walk 8 kilometres per day, for 1 week and leave 100 gifts along the way.
On 17th January 2022 it is Blue Monday, the saddest day of the year, so its seems like the perfect day to start my challenge and begin my 7 day walk with Robyn around the Lincolnshire Wolds and the surrounding areas.
Over the coming months I plan to make the 100 little gifts for people to find on our walk around the Wolds. The aim, to simply make people smile.
