Absolutely everything we do is driven by our belief that all young people have the ability to excel and succeed in life and work. We believe that the challenges of Sailing and Watersports do this by promoting health and well-being and building essential personal skills.

Story

Our friend, Holly Monk, tragically passed away in November 2017, aged only 18. She was a keen, talented sailor, and a very active member of the Cumbria Youth Sailing Team. She was one of the friendliest members of our team, never seen without a smile and always eager to help everyone.

We have decided to get the Cumbria Youth Team together and form a team to remember Holly (in a way she would've loved) whilst raising money in support of ASSF at the 24 Hour Race.

The money raised is going to go towards a project in Holly's name at the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, which will allow more people to enjoy the sport that she loved. As a team we've already benefited massively from this charity and so it will be nice to give something back!

Anyone is welcome to come and watch the race, at WLYC on 8th-9th September 2018. We have arranged a silent auction, which will finish on the 9th September - the website for this can be found at sail4holly.com where you can bid for items. We also hope to have a cake stall, raffle and will also be selling other items such as wristbands to raise money for charity.
