We support those affected by meningitis to stop the disease devastating lives

Story

Six late 20 / early 30-somethings are completing their first ever triathlon on 26 July. Between the group, there's a little experience with small races, but no experience of a three discipline, endurance event. Some couldn't swim. Others couldn't ride a bike. And one of us couldn't even remember to get out of bed most days...

The six 'athletes' are:
Mark Moran
David Eagle
Al Garner
Steven Gill
Bill Mohin
Chris Norris

The triathlon will consist of:
- A 1500 metre swim
- A 40 kilometre bike ride, and
- A 10 kilometre run

It'll be a physical challenge, and we'll be completing it in memory of Alisha, who passed away from meningitis in November last year.

Alisha was Mark's cousin; he and his fellow 'athletes' will be raising money for Meningitis Now to support the great work they do in funding research, and raising awareness of the dangers of meningitis.

Every donation is appreciated no matter how big or small.
