Every mother has a different story, from the struggles of pregnancy and labour to the amazing jounery of being a mum. Each jouney involves individual struggles but nothing compares to those of those women in the developing world. I was one of the fortunate who had the privilege of modern medicine to save me but many women don't have this. 

Our mother is the greatest gift we receive in the world from nurturing us to providing us with endless love our mums are our superheroes! But imagine living in a war torn country, which makes up the shocking statistic of 99% of maternal deaths in the developing world, and where every 2 minutes a mother dies from preventable pregnancy and childbirth complications.This autumn, Muslim Hands will be hosting a Unite for Mothers of War 5km Night Walk all in aid of supporting expectant mothers and their new born babies across countries affected by war.By taking part, I will not only save a mother from preventable death, I will be saving the next generation.
