Story
I'm taking part in the meat-free fortnight challenge this Ramadan - going meat free for 14 days and doing my bit to help combat climate change.
For millions of Muslims across the world, Ramadan is an important time of self-reflection, when we try to restore our connection with Allah (SWT) and put a stop to harmful habits.
However, what people often forget is that this also applies to our relationship with the Earth as well.
I'm making my Ramadan one of balance not excess - just like in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The prophetic diet was actually predominately vegetarian, comprised of far less meat than in the average diet of Muslims in Britain today.
The funds you donate will help pull families and communities out of the vicious cycle of poverty by funding sustainable projects such as Beekeeping, Raspberry Farming and Tree Planting,
£5 can purchase tree saplings
£60 can help purchase beehives
£110 can provide tools and raspberry seeds
I pray you and your families are well this Ramadan, and that you could consider donating, however big or small, so that other less fortunate families around the world affected by climate catastrophes get to enjoy a safe and blessed Ramadan too, for generations to come.
