We are are so lucky to have this wonderful place on our doorstep. I’m sure many of you, like me have experienced the amazing care the staff and volunteers at The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provide to people from our region with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses, at all stages of their illness.

The Hospice provides its services free of charge to patients but it costs an incredible £5.1million a year to run and 80% of this has to be raised from fundraising.

So this is why this year I’ll be taking part in the Sparkle Walk on 16th June to help raise much needed funds. I know times are hard but anything you can spare to support this wonderful place will be greatly appreciated.
