Thomas's 127 Mile Bike Ride To Trafalgar Square · 20 February 2021

Story

Thomas is a typical 11 year old who enjoys playing sports, gaming and spending time with his friends. Lockdown has been tough as he's had to stay at home, missing many of the things he loves, and contending with the 'joys' of homeschooling for weeks on end.

However, whilst he doesn't particularly enjoy homeschooling, he knows he's very lucky to have use of my laptop to do it on. He also knows many children sadly don't have access to the tech they need to do their school work at home.

This is where his idea came from to raise money for a local school, Cotmanhay Infants, to help them buy a laptop to share with those children who need it most.

To do this he's going to be using his Dad's bike trainer in our garage to do a virtual bike ride to London. Connecting the trainer to the Zwift app means he will have to cycle up & down hills just as he would on a proper ride, making it a tougher challenge!

He's never ridden more than a dozen miles a week, so doing a minimum of 14 miles every day, to 'virtually' arrive at Trafalgar Square next Sunday, will be hard.

Anything you can donate to encourage him to keep going, and raise money to help the school would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you

Sally, David & Thomas
