Sally's Bupa Around the Bay Cycle page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most of you already know that my very lovely Mum, "Granny Sue", had Parkinson's disease. She died in November 2011 after suffering with quiet dignity from this cruel disease for 17 years.
So, in her special memory, I am going to Squeeze into some extremely unforgiving lycra and pedal an absurd distance - 100km early on a Sunday morning on 20th October to raise money for The Cure Parkinsons Trust in The Bupa Around the Bay Cycle.
This is a trust that has been set up specifically to raise money to fund and facilitate research into finding a cure, an incredibly worthwhile cause. http://www.cureparkinsons.org.uk/what-we-do
You can think of me as you settle down with your feet up with a coffee and your paper, secure in the knowledge that you have done your "bit" by sponsoring me. And I'll be there with 17,500 other people all squished into tight, brightly coloured lycra peddling like mad.
As an incentive for you all to part with your money I thought I might keep posting photos of me after some of my training cycles, and also as a special thank you, a picture of me all red faced, lycra clad and sweaty with mad helmet hair after finishing this huge challenge!
Please support me.
Thanks.
