Chilterns Dog Rescue Society was founded in 1963 & since then has rescued, rehabilitated & rehomed tens of thousands of dogs & puppies in need. Thanks to the support of the public, CDRS will soon celebrate 60 years of rescue work. Your generosity will help us to keep putting dogs first. Thank you.

Story

Well, here we are again!  (Oh no I can hear you say!!)  Thank you to start with, for even taking the time to look at my page!  Now I've got you wondering what this is all about!  Dogs!!!!  How exciting!  Seriously I'm excited to think I'm running 26.2 blinking miles for a load of dogs!  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love dogs (especially my gorgeous Ruby) but having run the marathon before, I know how difficult it is to run all that way - but, just for dogs!  What's really annoying is that Ruby could probably run 26.2 miles quite easily and still look at me for more miles after that, whilst I on the other hand, will be near dead!  For all of you that know me, know that Richard's (work) partner, Robert is married to Belinda, who is heavily involved with Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.  She does a fantastic job giving the homeless doggies a place to stay, loving them and trying to then rehome them.  All this takes an enormous amount of time, energy and money.  Since 1963, when the Society was formed, they have rescued over 17,000 doggies!  Amazing!  We take it all for granted.  All of us have our lovely little doggies and don't really spare a thought for all those homeless and starved, unloved doggies being neglected daily - not just at Christmas!  (I know - there we were thinking, it was just a seasonal job!)  Please, please, please spare a thought and spare some cash, they truly need it and would be most grateful!  This is a smaller charity by choice, there are many of the larger charities who have literally hundreds of people running for them to raise thousands, this is down to me and one other to raise as much as we can!  That's you!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate, and remember those poor doggies!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Ah - and if you'd like to come to London for a day out and cheer me on - 21st April is the date, bring your dogs along too and line the route for cheering me on - something tells me, I'm going to need it!  Party at mine afterwards!!!
