We fund research and support services to help all those affected by ataxia

Story

Three years ago my daughter Eilidh was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia. This is a rare neurodegenerative disease that causes difficulties with coordination, balance and mobility

At the moment there are no active treatments for her condition but there are exciting developments ahead. The first treatment for FA will hopefully become available in the US later this year and come over to the UK shortly afterwards. Drug and treatment development require money and Ataxia UK supports clinical trials and research into FA and other ataxic conditions

I am so grateful for your support in raising funds to find a cure for this condition and to help support those people and their families affected by ataxic conditions such as Friedreich’s Ataxia.
