SALT PRINT RAFFLE FOR CHARITY

Before I release my salt prints for sale, I would like to donate one print to be won in a virtual raffle to raise money for charity.  Salt was made the month after my dad's death and it explores my grief.  I've had the most difficult 16 months grieving fiercely - and mainly in isolation - which is how I imagine people losing loved ones during the Coronavirus pandemic are feeling.  Even if a loved one is not lost to Covid19, because of the very tight restrictions on hospitals, care homes and funerals, many people are not able to say goodbye the way they should be able to. This will have a detrimental impact on people's ability to grieve.  Losing my dad was hard enough, I can not possibly imagine what bereaved people are going through at the moment.  With that in mind, all money raised from this raffle will go to Cruse Bereavement Scotland, an amazing charity which helps individuals in their darkest hour - a charity which will undoubtedly be overwhelmed with requests for support in the coming weeks and months.


So here's how it will work:

- Each 'raffle ticket' is £5. You can buy one or as many as you want.

- I ask that the winner also cover the P&P costs.

- The winner will get to choose which one of the four limited prints they would like, before anyone else has one.

- The prints will eventually sell for £125 plus p+p so this is both potentially a bargain for you and for a good cause!

- The raffle will only be drawn once at least 100 tickets have been sold, though I'd love to get to 200 tickets - raising between £500 and £1000 for a very worthy cause.

- I am aiming to draw the raffle on Thursday 30th April 2020, but I will see how ticket sales are going.

- When buying tickets, please prove your full name as anonymous donors can not be included in the draw.

- If you are not able to buy a ticket, please could I ask you to share this?
