Cavell is the charity supporting UK nurses, midwives, and nursing associates, working and retired, when they’re suffering personal or financial hardship often due to illness, disability, older age, domestic abuse and the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Story

Almost everyone’s lives have been touched by a nurse, midwife or healthcare assistant but they are often the last to ask for help for themselves. Cavell Nurses’ Trust is here to help these committed and compassionate men and women through these difficult times. Many need financial help and support after falling victim to ill health, domestic abuse, accidents and many other problems which prevent them from working.

Cavell Nurses’ Trust, established in 1917, believes that nursing and midwifery is one of the noblest professions and is dedicated to help those facing difficulty or crisis. Their support is offered in the form of financial grants and advice with most of the grants going to those facing the most severe difficulties, from all over the UK.

The Trust has provided financial support worth more than £2.5 million over the last five years to thousands of working and retired nurses, health care assistants and student nurses who have devoted their lives to caring for others.

Cavell Nurses’ Trust is now approaching it’s centenary year and needs your generous support to ensure it can continue it’s vital work.

Thank you for your support.
