Story
I have known Jenna since I was 5, about the time I started in Year 1 at Belmont. The next 15 years through primary school, high school, and sixth form were full of positivity, support, and many many treasured memories. That is a sentiment shared by anyone who had the privilege of knowing Jenna. She had an unshakeable and limitless love and drive for life. Nothing could bring her down, not even being diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. She and her family have been through a lot these past couple of years, yet every single one of them held hope and created such a supportive environment for Jenna and those connected with her.
Sadly Jenna passed away in Spring 2022. Despite such a short time gracing this planet, she has left a legacy and a reminder that no matter what, you always have someone in your corner.
Jenna was studying to be a primary school teacher, which had been her dream job as far back as I remember. She would have been one of the best teachers ever. She was passionate and dedicated her time for the benefit of others, which is why I am dedicating myself to hours of training, in Jenna’s memory, to run the London Marathon and take part in Ironman UK. I know that she’s watching from high above, willing me on.
Bone Cancer Research Trust is a leading charity dedicated to fighting primary bone cancer. All donations will support further research to improve the treatment of Ewings. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, let’s help improve research and care for those who need it.
