Pilgrimage from Chichester to Canterbury · 13 June 2021

At St Luke's we seek to be a lively and vibrant church, where all are welcome to worship God, join in prayer, explore the Christian faith, and love our community. During the current restrictions, we cannot meet together, but we continue to offer online worship and collect for our local food bank.

Story

This summer, to give thanks for my 10th anniversary as a deacon, Richard and I will be walking from Chichester to Canterbury, well over 150 miles. We will be fundraising for 3 charities.

1. Music at St Luke's Church

We are looking to appoint a new choir director, to rebuild music at St Luke's after a year and a half without congregational singing. As part of this project we are wanting to set up a junior choir, working with our local schools - to give local children access to musical education.

2. Mind in Croydon https://www.mindincroydon.org.uk/

The pandemic has affected the mental health of so many. We want to support the excellent work that Mind does locally to promote good mental health and wellbeing.

3. World Bicycle Relief https://worldbicyclerelief.org/

World Bicycle Relief is an international charity that specialises in large-scale, comprehensive bicycle distribution programs to aid poverty relief in developing countries around the world.
