Big Wild Walk · 26 October 2020 to 1 November 2020 ·
This is no secret. Wildlife is disappearing at an alarming rate - some are calling it the next mass extinction - and the threat of climate catastrophe is a constant worry. We live in a time of emergency.
There is still hope - we can tackle both of these critical issues - but we have to act now. Time is running out.
The Big Wild Walk is a way to get out, appreciate nature and raise valuable funds for The Wildlife Trust. By 2030 The Wildlife Trust aims to protect 30% of our land and sea in order to start the process of natures recovery. This all takes money and we are calling on you for help.
This challenge will see us delving into nature by walking a total of 100km in a seven day period around the Oxfordshire countryside, that is an average of 14.3km per day. From the 26th October to the 1st November we will set off each day to reach this target. It is going to be tough and physically demanding but more than worth it for the natural world.
Along the way, we will be documenting our challenge through wildlife photography and film.
We are asking for you to sponsor us as we undertake this journey by donating anything you can. All of the money raised will go directly to The Wildlife Trust with particular emphasis on the BBO Wildlife Trust (our local).
Thank you for your donations for this fantastic and much-needed cause.
