Over the past 6 months I have had the privilege of working with the leaders of Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove. The passion and commitment to the essential work that they do inspired me to pick up my trainers and return to a personal passion of mine that I had let slip 'running'. Pre covid I considered myself a half decent runner completing several marathons and half marathons over the past 10yrs. During covid I suffered a back injury (due to copious amounts of sitting) which stopped me for the best part of year being able to do the simplest form of exercise and something that bought me so much joy and fulfilment. 

After several half hearted attempts to re discover my passion and form the opportunity was presented to me by the brilliant Vicky at AGEUKWBH to join the team and run the brighton half. They have helped me get back on track so I want to do my bit in raising as much money as possible to support  local older people who are facing poverty, isolation and loneliness and right now.
