Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

I am cycling 1000 miles from John O Groats to Lands End with 2 old school friends, John King and Richard Bounds. Another old school friend, Alex Schlich, is our support driver.

All of us are 50+ and as you can imagine this is quite a challenge. Not only the distance but the weather is going to prove to be difficult.

We are all cycling for different charities, mine is the Rainbow Centre for Conductive Education in Fareham. The folks at the Rainbow Centre do an amazing job helping both children and adults with motor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, acquired head injury and dyspraxia using a technique known as conductive education.

Conductive education is a holistic integrated approach, which enables people with damage to the central nervous system to learn to overcome the challenges they face. It is a process of experiences which leads the person to work with their motor disabilities, moving towards increased independence.

Thank you for your donation.
