WDM Cycle for charity: London to Paris cycle ride · 18 August 2010

Global Justice Now is a democratic social justice organisation working as part of a global movement to create a more just and equal world. We mobilise people in the UK for change, and act in solidarity with those fighting injustice.

Story

Hello and thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.

On the 18th of August the two of us will be embarking on a charity cycle from London to Paris – no less than 300 miles!!!  The charity’s website describes it as the experience of a lifetime – now while I don’t doubt that the trip will be fulfilling in many ways I somehow doubt that it will all be a smooth ride – not to mention the gruelling training regime that we will both be following for 4 months leading up to the cycle.  We both see this as a great challenge, both physically and psychologically.  While at the same time we will hopefully be able to raise lots and lots of money for a good cause.

The two of us need to raise a minimum of £2600 between us so the more you are able to give the better.  Your donations will be going to The World Development Movement (WDM) – a UK-based anti-poverty campaigning organisation.  They believe a fairer world is possible if we take action together and that we can end global inequality.  They seek to establish economic justice – the right of poor communities to determine their own path out of poverty, and an end to harmful policies, which put profit before people and the environment.

Thanks for your time.

So please dig deep and donate now (just thinking of how sore our bottoms will be feeling after 300 miles on a bike has got to be worth the money).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
