Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We’re taking part in the London Marathon as a member of Team Coe, which is a Sports Team established by running legend Sebastian Coe to raise funds for his charitable foundation.

Seb has chosen Cancer Research UK as the main beneficiary and this is a cause very close to our hearts.

The money we raise will go towards a revolutionary project that Cancer Research UK is funding and is at the forefront of medical research and the fight against cancer.

The Francis Crick Institute – a visionary centre of scientific excellence – is being built right now at London’s Kings Cross. It will unite some of the world’s top scientists, working together, to take on cancer and a wide range of other major diseases.

This collaborative approach will help to accelerate medical research, finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

One in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Half of these will not beat their disease. The chance of survival has doubled in the last 40 years but the number of people diagnosed is set to rise and that’s why the work of the Francis Crick is so important.

We hope you feel able to support our efforts – any donation, no matter what the amount, will make a huge difference.

Thank you.
