Out of the ten children that are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every day, two on average will not survive their diagnosis. This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, challenge yourself to walk just two miles a day to remember the children we have lost.

Story

Every day in the UK, around 10 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, around 2 of those 10 will not survive.

Our beautiful 3-year-old son Aaron was one of them. 🧡

Aaron was the happiest, cheekiest little boy with the biggest smile. He absolutely loved his little cars and would take a collection of them everywhere he went. His dummy and muslin were never far away either — his favourite little comforts that went everywhere with him.

But if there was one thing Aaron was truly famous for, it was his cuddles. He would ask for them, climb onto your lap for them and quite happily stay there cuddling for as long as you would let him. ❤️ He was just that kind of little boy — incredibly loving, affectionate and full of joy.

In January this year, Aaron was diagnosed with blood cancer. Our whole world changed overnight, and before the end of that same month, we lost him.

That's why this September I'm walking 60 miles for Children with Cancer UK — 2 miles every day, for the 2 children who won't survive.

I'm walking for more research, better and safer treatments, and for a future where more children get to grow up.

And every one of those miles will be for our Aaron — our beautiful boy with the biggest smile, his little cars, dummy and muslin never far away, and those unforgettable cuddles. 🧡🎗️
