I first found out about the Diana Award and their anti-bullying ambassador scheme 12 months ago, through my daughter's senior school, Queen Marys High School, Walsall, and her involvement and training to become an anti-bullying ambassador.  I've watched her grow in confidence and compassion as she has worked alongside teachers and her peers to establish the scheme at school and in local primary schools. The issues covered in the training for the young people and the openness and acceptance in learning about and discussing issues including cyber bullying and LGBTQ+ have become openly discussed at school and is something us adults can learn a lot from.

The challenge of participating in the Prudential RideLondon 2020 and riding 100 miles is a perfect opportunity for me to raise money for a cause I have learned so much about through my daughter and am proud to support. Knowing I'm raising money will help motivate me through the difficult miles (particularly the uphill ones).
