London to Brighton Bike Ride 2014 · 15 June 2014 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

My brother had a heart attack on Wednesday 12th June 2013, just one week after his fiftieth birthday! I will never forget the evening I got the call, driving to the hospital not in possession of the full facts and fearing the worst.

We were so close as children and we got up to all kinds of mischieve together!  We somehow lost touch over the years and only became close again a few months before his heart attack. I wanted to do everything I could to help him, Tracey and the girls.

Thankfully Steve has made a full recovery. He was extremely lucky and thanks to the care of his surgeon and his team is back doing what he loves, playing drums, yep that's him in the picture.

I wanted to do something to raise funds for heart charities so that they can continue to save lives. The British Heart Foundation are my chosen charity and I will be doing the London to Brighton bike ride to raise funds for them. I am grateful to all those who want to sponser me - this one is for you bruv xx
