Join us at our new Twilight Walk at Delamere Forest on Saturday 25th March.

Story

In 2011, my wonderful mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Being the force of nature that she is, she fought tirelessly, going through difficult treatments and seeing her life change considerably. Early on, she was referred to St Luke’s and received various support the incredible staff there. She benefitted greatly from the treatment, care and love that was shown. Mum eventually went into the hospice in May 2015 for end of life care, where she passed away peacefully a few days later.

As a family, we will always be grateful for the care that St Luke’s gave to Mum, and the positive impact that it had through some incredibly difficult times. They not only cared for her, but for us too. They shows us love, respect and from a personal perspective gave me access to bereavement counselling which was a vital part of my grieving process. They are a spectacular organisation, significant contributors to the local community, and use every penny of funding to continue providing amazing patient care.

I can’t wait to take part in this event and hopefully make a good contribution to St Luke’s - I’ll be fasting for Ramadan on the day so it will be a good distraction as nightfall approaches!

We're very excited to launch our Twilight Walk taking place at Delamere Forest on Saturday 25th March 2023 (don't worry, this is in addition to our more "famous" Midnight Walk!).This will be a 10K walk through Delamere...instead of T-shirts participants will get a head torch and the loan of brilliant silent disco headphones for the DJ warm up musicWhilst this is a fundraising event we don't set a minimum amount to raise but whatever support you can get really will make a huge difference.Thank you so much for sharing the caring x
