London to Paris Bike Ride – 308 miles and 2 Capital Cities - Our Story….

Samantha, Amy, Louise et al, yes 308 miles cycling, REALLY!!! – Let’s hope we make it!

Having completed last year’s Yorkshire Marathon in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Care, myself, Amy (my daughter), Louise (Heaven and Hell Fitness) and three other friends decided we wanted a new challenge in 2017.

What would be more challenging, and awesome, than cycling from London to Paris?  Having never cycled or having owned a bike for decades, we are not one to take on a small challenge, we thought this would really push all of us.  With first-hand experience of our family and friends receiving treatment at Yorkshire Cancer Centre, we feel it is a very worthy cause and want to support the great care everyone receives from the wonderful staff at Bexley Wing.

With over 2,000 patients (from a catchment population of 2.6 million) being treated at Yorkshire Cancer Centre, we can’t think of a more deserving charity.

Despite all of us falling off our bikes, numerous times and incurring injuries, we continue to train and look forward to our challenge in a months’ time.  Please support and encourage us all by sponsoring us on behalf of the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.  Every little bit helps, no matter how small.
