Once Upon a Smile provide emotional and practical support to bereaved families at their time of need to enable them to adjust to a new life without their loved one. We support children and families when a parent or sibling has died and pride ourselves in tailoring support to the needs of each individual family. In March 2019 we moved into, Sidley House. Sidley House is a dedicated bereavement hub in Trafford that offers a variety of activities for children to express in a fun and safe environment. We provide opportunities for bereaved children and their families to share their thoughts and feelings in a fun and safe environment. We help to: Provide a safe environment to express feelings and emotions Increase self-esteem by enabling families to meet other bereaved families Provide opportunities to remember the person who has died Assist families in talking more openly Provide practical support to alleviate added stresses.
